What are your Social Media Goals for your business?
Before setting out any new goals for your business you should first take a look at what results you have already achieved with your existing goals, you should look at how well or not, they have performed.
Examine your presence on existing social media networks and determine if your profile needs to be updated taking into account any changes that have been implemented with Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Google+ and Pinterest, ensure your brand is represented the way you want it to be on the networks that are relevant to your business.
Social media goals - what are yours?
- Determine where your time is best spent, what has given you the best results so far and where is your target audience hanging out? You should keep a close eye on this and adapt as necessary every couple of months if there are a lot of changes in your industry.
- Develop a strategy that you can stick to that keeps your social media efforts consistent, regular and focused on your target market. Set up a schedule for your postings, including a content strategy, with details of who will create the content and what it will be focused on.
- Determine how you will measure if your goals have been met, what metrics will you use and what measurable results will you be looking for? Are you looking to build a list of interested customers, do you want to measure your results based on increased sales, do you want to drive traffic to your website, what are your specific goals?
- Train any members of your team that will be using social media to promote your business and working towards achieving your goals. Ensure that you are all sending out the same message to your existing and potential customers in a way that properly represents your business.
And finally, remember this as you are setting out your Social Media Goals for your business;
